Telopea Main Meet - 1 & 2 November 2008

With a number of swimmers injured or taking advantage of the public holiday and the chance for a long weekend, a small team of 20 CASC swimmers competed at the Telopea Main Meet, achieving a PB rate of 45%. Once again the swimmers enjoyed a high standard of competition with a number of interstate clubs attending the meet. CASC swimmers performed well with 9 swimmers taking home 16 medals between them.

Matt Riddell - gold in 100 back, silver in 200 IM and bronze in 100 back. Matt
also recorded 5/7 PBs.
Imogen Schiwy – bronze in 50 free
Nicholas Starkey – bronze in 100 breast. Nick also recorded 4/5 PBs, including a 15+
second PB in 100 fly.
John Warmenhoven – silver in
open 50 free
Bonnie Zhang - silver in 50 free and 100 back.

Congratulations also to 9 year old Niamh Collett who was competing in her first main meet. Niamh recorded a PB in her 50 free and also recorded her first long course times for 100 back, breast and free. Great swimming Niamh and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
