NSW Swimming Summer championship meets

Dates are out for NSW summer championship meets. Also, Swimming NSW have updated the rules for using long course times for short course meets and vice versa.

Check the events calendar on the left for the date for the 2010 NSW Swimming Championship meets.

Change to Schedule of Constants

The schedule of constants will no longer by used for Swimming NSW Championships.  So what does this mean:

  • if you are entering a short course meet you can use either a long course (without applying any conversion factor) or a short course time as your qualifying time.  For example, the qualifying time for an event is 40s and your short course time is 45s and your long course time is 35s.  You can use your long course time.  Your entry time will be 35s.
  • if you are entering a long course meet you can use either a long course or a short course (without applying any conversion factor) time as your qualifying time BUT your entry time will be taken to be the qualifying time.  For example, the qualifying time for an event is 40s and your short course time is 35s and your long course time is 45s.  You can use your short course time to qualify but your entry time will be 40s.
